The Walk for Thomas is an annual event honouring the memory of Thomas Mueller, son of Di Wilkins and Phil Mueller, and the nephew of Sara and Brett Anhorn. Thomas passed away from neuroblastoma — a rare form of childhood cancer — in 2011 at the age of seven, and Walk for Thomas raises funds each year supporting research towards better diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

This year we’ll be walking remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All supporters are encouraged to participate by walking in honour of Thomas leading up to and culminating on September 27. All funds raised at Walk for Thomas supports the research of Dr. Paul Beaudry at the University of Calgary, who is exploring new ways of diagnosing and treating children with neuroblastoma.
